Meet Brittany

Brittany is an honest, fair and humble public servant. She was born and raised in the great city of Baton Rouge and has always had a natural affinity with this great City. Everywhere that God has placed her in life, has prepared her for this very moment. She believes that everything is done by design, everything is done according to God’s perfect will, and most importantly, in accordance with God’s perfect timing. From the wonderful teachers and lasting friendships built at Baton Rouge Magnet High School, to being prepared for anything the legal field can throw at you by some of the best professors at Southern University Law Center. From her extensive work and experience in the state legislature, to her zealous legal representation of abused and neglected children through the foster care system. From her legal advocacy in truancy cases, to her many years as an Assistant District Attorney in not only the Juvenile Court System, but also in the 19th Judicial District Court. Brittany is eager to continue to pour into a community that has poured so much into her.

As a Senior Felony Assistant District Attorney, she has prosecuted some of the most violent and egregious crimes ranging from First Degree Murder to First Degree Rape, Human Trafficking to Armed Robberies, Misdemeanor Thefts to traffic matters. One concept has always been a constant in every case, she always remains fair, holds individuals accountable, but also recognizes that justice looks different for each individual case.

Brittany is a member of United Christian Faith Ministries where she is a graduate of the United Excel Social Justice Institute and currently serves as an active member of the Social Justice Ministry. Brittany is also blessed to mother two beautiful children, Ellington Jolie and Langston William, an honor and privilege that she does not take for granted. Brittany is wife to William M. Jorden.

Brittany promises to always remain fair, look at a totality of the circumstances, and always see people as people and not just cases! We humbly ask for your prayers and your vote on November 5th!
